Michael J. Coughlin M.D.
Michael J. Coughlin currently practices in Boise, Idaho where he has served as Chief of Orthopaedics at St.Alphonsus Regional Medical Center and is past President of the Idaho Orthopaedic Society. He is also a Clinical Professor of Surgery, Department of Orthopaedics, University of California San Francisco. He has published over 200 scientific articles. Dr. Coughlin is the author and co-editor of two textbooks on foot and ankle surgery, Surgery of the Foot and Ankle 9th edition, and The Video Textbook of Foot an Ankle Surgery.
Dr. Coughlin was the youngest President of the American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society in 1990 and was President of the International Federation of Foot & Ankle Surgeons from 2002-2005. Michael J. Coughlin, M.D. received his medical degree from Oregon Health Sciences University and his orthopaedic training at the University of California, San Francisco.
